[The feed starts out with a bit of static, but it wears off soon enough with Vanitas talking.]

So, essentially, what we have here is you not wanting to confront your fears so you're more or less attempting to force me to do what doesn't come fucking naturally to anyone indigo on down?

A keyblade's the weapon I was trained to use, it's the only thing that can stop certain...monsters back home for good. Vanitas was trained to use one too, but it gets a bit complicated past that.

That's awesome how you just hesitated over a word. I'll take that explanation though.

I just know it's a bit difficult for people to picture. The first day I was here, I tried explaining it to Hope, and even a drawing had him pretty confused.

Keyblades are unique to the one who calls them, too.

Uh-huh, according to the heart of the wielder. It affects a keyblade's shape, form, and even its capabilities. For example, my keyblades are best for quick attacks and make it easy to use a reverse grip, which is how I fight.

Vanitas' keyblade...I don't know as much about it, because I never really used it myself, but I'd guess it's meant for hitting hard.

...That would make sense. Fucking brute.

[Alright, he can't help a little laugh at that. Vanitas is certainly a brute]

He definitely doesn't hold back. That's one thing I'm never able to really match.

You two fight?

We did, back home. I didn't really want to, but he did, because of the goal he had at the time.

What goal?

One Xehanort put him to.

When a heart of pure light and one of pure darkness clash and they're strong enough, it'll form a special keyblade, the χ-blade. And that...is a power Xehanort wanted.

[ Ventus can probably hear Karkat tapping his fingers on the desk. ]

I'd have to agree there. I don't know all of what he's done to me and my friends, but what I do know is...awful.

But there are things that a person like him could never understand, and that's why I know he'll fail.

You might see it that way. What gave me strength were the people I fought for, what I wanted to protect. Does that count?

Even so, it worked for me. Everybody needs a reason to fight, no matter what it is.

He's surprisingly good at manipulating people. There're people I know he wouldn't get far with, but if he got a hold of people like Team Rocket, it'd be bad news.

Oh please. I doubt NPCs can really bend to the will of players.

You'd be surprised what he could accomplish, but I don't want anybody here to ever see that. And I don't think Vanitas should have to deal with him again either.

Could care less. First of all, I'd want to personally liberate his head from his fucking shoulders. Since that's not possible, I would settle with my foot being introduced to his ass. Repeatedly.

And Vanitas? I'm pretty sure that after all the time he's spent here, that he wouldn't fall for this guy's bullshit.

That's not what I mean. I decided I was going to put some faith in Vanitas, but having someone like that in this world...there're things about that that'd be tough to deal with.

Guess at least Xehanort wouldn't have his powers over darkness here.
