Ventus, check in with me. Haven't heard from you in a while.

[Vanitas sounds a little tired today. The feed is pointed away from him, showing that he's still in bed and that his Axew is far more interested in her snacks than anything her trainer is doing. What the screen isn't showing though, is that Vanitas has somehow turned blond overnight. His hair is ridiculously light, and it really bothers him; that's not the only change though. He's cut his lips with his teeth while just talking, and it's nothing short of awkward trying to eat with them just yet; they've become razor sharp and pointed, two of the canines peeking out from his upper lip. Vani's body is aching all over, especially along his back and up his arms, where weird markings that felt like scars were racing all up and even to his shoulders and back of neck. They almost appeared to be stripes?]

Beato, Rikku. You two as well, I want to know where you are. [This can't be about him feeling sick and wondering if it's some kind of outbreak, right? No, not at all...]

I... guess I could go for a little air tonight. I'm sure Darjeeling would like to stretch his legs a bit.

[Her smile looks a lot more genuine this time.]

[That makes him crack a half smile himself.] I'm at the hotel in town. Room 315.

Is is fine if I bring some carrot cupcakes?

Yeah. Bring whatever you like.

I'll be there in half an hour or so. [Looks at her door... a soft, worried frown appears in her face as she chews her lips for a second. Then she looks at the window. Yep, that's her best option.]

I won't take long, see you in a while!

Alright. Don't do anything too reckless now. [He's saying it because of that worried look on her face.]

[And thus the feed ends, with Beato miraculously managing to get down from her room from her window after filling a small bag of carrot cupcakes.]

[Resting and waiting, Vanitas has let out his smaller Poochyena to prowl the room and hallway to keep an eye out for Beato. The dog will have to be the one to let her in, since Vani really can't get out of bed or risk passing out from nausea.]

[And there she is, walking as quietly as she can, looking at the numbers on the doors...

Darjeeling is the first to notice the Poochyena, letting out a quiet grunt to call its attention.]

[Marlo barks, first in a little surprise at hearing the grunt, but then barks again and takes a run around the room before leaping at the door and working the knob with his teeth. Surprisingly, he gets it open and peeks his head out.]

[Darjeeling looks at her before pointing the door, which she happily peeks from.]

Hello...?

[From the far room, he can still hear her. Chuckling, he raises his voice a bit.] Come in. [Marlo still barks excitedly and, once Beato is in the door, goes trotting down the hall to lead her to his trainer.]

Good night, good night! [Walks to him, with a small bag full of carrot cupcakes...]

[He's still surprised she doesn't seem the least bit afraid of the monstrosity that's become his mouth, with those fangs and teeth always sticking out into view and his lower lip looking well scarred by now. The carrot cupcakes smell pretty good though.. and his stomach rumbles in agreement.]

Good evening.

[She sits on the bed, and takes one of the cupcakes out, offering it to him. Her eyes does linger on his hurt lips for a moment, but they go back to his eyes, as she always do while talking to him.]

You're looking so weird. Will it go away?

[...and uhm. Her free hand is now being used to touch his fangs.]

It should eventually. [Accepting the cupcake, he has to pause and blink, looking a little crosseyed in trying to watch her touch those big teeth. He's careful not to move his mouth while those small fingers are so close.]
