[Vanitas sounds a little tired today. The feed is pointed away from him, showing that he's still in bed and that his Axew is far more interested in her snacks than anything her trainer is doing. What the screen isn't showing though, is that Vanitas has somehow turned blond overnight. His hair is ridiculously light, and it really bothers him; that's not the only change though. He's cut his lips with his teeth while just talking, and it's nothing short of awkward trying to eat with them just yet; they've become razor sharp and pointed, two of the canines peeking out from his upper lip. Vani's body is aching all over, especially along his back and up his arms, where weird markings that felt like scars were racing all up and even to his shoulders and back of neck. They almost appeared to be stripes?]

Beato, Rikku. You two as well, I want to know where you are. [This can't be about him feeling sick and wondering if it's some kind of outbreak, right? No, not at all...]

[ Karkat had been a little sick too, but he had gotten over it fairly fast. as soon as Vanitas is finished, he's in the doorway. glaring. ]

What the fuck do you think you're doing? Put the Gear down and go to fucking sleep.

[Rolls his eyes a bit at that glare, setting the gear down near his pillow so he can quick answer it.] I can't just fall asleep, and don't think I haven't learned to carry earplugs if you think you can be smart about using a Pokemon's sleep move again.

[ growls just a little, marching on over. doesn't look like Karkat has had his morning shower yet either.

he plops down on the bed, eyes never leaving Vanitas'. ]

I've got other methods.

Like what? [Pausing in their usual argumentive banter, he has a beat of reaching a hand out and catching Karkat's chin to get a better look.] .... Your eyes changed color. [They are clearly blue. Very blue.]

[ squawks at being pulled in. makes his head spin a little, but Karkat frowns anyway, batting at Vani's hands. ]

Don't change the fucking subject. This is about you, not me.

[He lets go, but still frowns, idly licking his lips to get rid of some dried blood; he's cut his lips on his teeth more times than he knows now.]

You were sick too.

I ate something that didn't agree with me.

[ dismissive! Karkat crawls closer, giving Vanitas a headbutt. ]

Sleep. Please.

You just didn't catch whatever it is as badly as I did. [His tone is a little more concerned than he can express in his face with these fangs. The headbutt makes him snort rather softly, leaning to give a nudge of sorts back. He's too sore to really headbutt back.]

I'll fall asleep at some point. I just want to check on Ventus and a few others.

Maybe. But the fact remains that you're the bedridden one here. Not me.

So just let me, okay? I'm more than capable of checking up on your friends, dumbdumb.

Just till the dizziness passes. [He lets out a slow exhale though; he does trust him with that. It's the 'dumbdumb' that makes him snort again, unable to help cracking a toothy smile.]

Idiot, I'm no dumbdumb. [Settling though, Vanitas closes his eyes, but not before dragging Karkat down to settle with him. Just until he falls asleep. He's gotten too used to him being there.]

Not until it passes. You're staying there until you're better, fuckface.

[ Karkat gives a little surprise cry at being pulled down. squirming, he doesn't fight to get up. only comfortable. ]

I'm not your teddy bear either...

Not like you're trying to get up. [It's chuckled out as he shifts to accommodate the both of them being comfortable, arms curling around a bit tightly.]

You'll actually fall asleep if I stick close.

Yeah. [It's just a quiet acknowledgement. Squeezing his arms a bit reflexively, Vanitas snuffed and carefully tucked his nose against the back of Karkat's neck. Pushing his lips down to cover as much of his teeth as he can, he tries to settle like that; doesn't want to go and cut him up on accident, now does he!]

Go to sleep, will you?

[Snuffs again, but it comes with a sleepier tone.] Stop talking and maybe I will.

I'm okay!

[And she is. She's completely normal. No powers for this girl]

You guys weren't caught in any attacks, were you?

... We were, but we won our fights. The guys escaped, but they weren't able to cause more damage than they already did. [While not commenting, he's kind of glad to know SOMEONE can stay out of TROUBLE.]

That's good. Do you guys need a place to stay? I've got plenty of room, and I wouldn't charge you guys.

No, we're good for now. Staying in Goldenrod a bit longer. We were going to go to Kanto today but I'm apparently not allowed out of bed. [While he hasn't been showing his face on the gear, there's always been a view pointing down the bed, legs and feet showing with his Axew still the main 'focus'. The Pokemon is rolling onto her back and kicking her feet up in the air now, grunting and making noise.]

[It's weird to her that he's not showing his face, but the inflection of his voice that just isn't quite Sora, combined with the knowledge that Sora is with her helps her. ... As well as the trainer ID, but she's a bit too worried to pay much attention to that.]

Is something going on with you, too?

Wasn't feeling well this morning. [Kat is also the distraction to why he's not showing himself.] Karkat cancelled the trip and shoved me into my bed. [NOT IN THE WAY IT SOUNDS, RIKKU.]

... Yeah. [Nope, still gonna show that Axew. Kat is rolling onto her back and wiggling her feet in the air now, chirping rather unladylike for a dragon.]

[She giggles a little at that last bit]
