No, Ventus. It was you, us, as one person. [But he gives a puffed sigh.] I'm not sure what to think if I'm still around as myself mentally. You wouldn't want me constantly remarking on things.

From the sounds of it, I've been alone a long time otherwise. Doesn't seem like it'd be that bad.

At least then we'd both get to see things.

[.... Ventus is ridiculously kind enough to say that and think it might hold true. It still leaves him a bit speechless, unable to say anything just yet.]

[He's patient enough to wait a while, and then there's some beeps and blips]

Maybe it disconnected...

[The beeps and blips make him snort, and he's shaking his head on his end even if Ventus can't see it.] No, I'm here. You just... [I can't handle your level of kindness, idiot.]

Xion and I saw the same things, while we were sleeping.

It was...Sora's dream. I guess he and Riku were in these sleeping worlds, and maybe that's why I could see what was going on.

Xehanort showed up, too.

Sora said Master was still around.. we didn't get to finish talking. [Frowns quietly on his end. Continue.]

His plans were crazier than I'd have ever thought. He said throwing us at each other was a mistake, and he's got some other way to try and make the keyblade war happen.

To do that, he's found a way to assemble thirteen versions of himself - or at least he's working on it.

[Scowls a bit about 'a mistake', but scrunches his face up.] How, is my question? The man was crazy but a genius, so finding the way doesn't surprise me, but doing it..

He figured out a way to mess with time. There was Xehanort as we knew him, but then there was one much younger, and...

[He pauses, frowning. One of those bodies was Terra's, Xehanort said so himself]

And? [He wonders. That was two so far..]

I didn't recognize all of them, but Terra was there, or...his body at least. Pretty sure Isa was there too, but he had this scar on his face.

...Braig too.

[Freaking Braig the goldfish drowner]

I don't know an Isa, but Braig is a familiar name. If I remember right, he approached Master under the assumption that if he fought Terra and won, he could get a keyblade. Master briefed me about that encounter, because he made Terra use his darkness in a tangible form. He said Terra blinded the man in one eye and left a scar on his face.

Terra did something like that?

[Braig's a jerk, but that's still a surprise]

I doubt he particularly meant to take out an eye. Master said it was almost borderline irritating that it took him so long to use darkness though.

We were always taught darkness could only do bad things.

[Just a quiet pause, reflecting on that.]

I don't think it's always true.

It's not something that was particularly dealt with, is all I can guess. It's just the other half of light. Without one, there can't be the other. We're a good example for that; you wouldn't have survived without me if Sora hadn't filled in the space.

That's true. I think Master Eraqus just saw something really bad in it because of Xehanort, so maybe that's why.

Maybe. Would make sense, since Master was obsessed with the idea that light and darkness should be balanced, not with less darkness and more light.
