I was starting to think I'd seen it all, and then this... world throws me a curve ball.

What are they called? [Any topic is better than what they were just on.]

Cleffa, Igglybuff, Azurill, Magby, Elekid...oh, there's Togepi too. What else...

Hm. What types are they? I don't recognize any of the names. [He might know a few by sight from network posts though.]

Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Togepi are Normal types. Azurill's Water, Magby is Fire, and Elekid is Electric.

Are their final forms really strong? [Might be interested in a water or electric type....]

I'd say they're pretty strong, like anything else that goes through three stages of evolution.

[His only encounter with a three stage evolution Pokemon is Dartanian, so yep. Strong.]

I'll have to look into them. I need a few types to fill out my team, and if they're really that strong, then I want to use them.

[In Ven's case, he has both Aura and Bolt, but neither is inclined to reach their final stage]

What types are you looking for?

Water. A second electric type couldn't hurt. Psychic might be interesting to try out, since they read minds.

They're all good types, that's for sure. Pikachu's got three evolutionary stages too, even if Bolt's only given me dirty looks if we go near Thunderstones.

Doesn't want to evolve?

Seems that way. I guess he just wants to stay how he is.

[Shrugs.] My Charmeleon doesn't want to evolve either. He rejects it every time he starts glowing. Likes being smaller so he can pick up coins off the floor easier, or at least that's what I see him doing whenever I'm in the store.

Guess it's just how they are. Sparky - Roxas' Pikachu - won't evolve either.

They'd be stronger if they did, but there isn't a way to really force it.
