[When the feed first flickers on, the room is a bit dark if it weren't for a small lamp off to the side, but it's dampened as if behind something; it would be hard to tell it's Vanitas looking at the screen if it weren't for his eyes glinting yellow in the faint light. For the longest time, he says nothing, but... his expression does all the talking for him.

It starts off with his gaze pointed off screen, looking downward with his eyebrows drawn together. Lifting his eyes enough to look up and outward, there wasn't a movement in his head until he dropped his eyes again. This time, they were pointed to the left, his expression calming before his lip curled just slightly, brows pressed together again. Breathing in and sitting up slightly, Vanitas started to open his mouth with his expression attempting to calm again, but whatever he was going to say is cut short before he even utters a sound.

Giving a quiet, distinctly frustrated sound, he instead snaps the feed shut without saying anything.

It's a good hour before a text comes up.]

This emotion makes me absolutely sick.



[If anyone swings by to visit Ventus in Ecruteak's Center, they're going to find Vanitas seated in a pulled up chair near the bed, his arms crossed and his chin on his chest, appearing to be asleep. Ven's cast arm is unburied from the blankets though, and there's a start of something written in black ink.. but well, it's just a black line as of now.

No, that isn't a marker near Vanitas' boot >( ugh what do you write on casts anyway-]

[Ven here eventually sits up a bit stiffly, having to remind himself once again that he can't stretch as he does so. At least, he's supposed to be careful with his arm...

[Despite Vanitas not budging, it's his Swablu that hops up and gently lands in Ven's lap to chirp gently, looking up at him with something of a 'rest well?'.]

[He's quiet in case Vanitas is sleeping for once, gently patting the little Swablu's head]

[The Pokemon gave a pleased little croon at the pattings, butting her head against his hand before hopping to gently tap her little beak against the cast. Hopping over the cast then, she pecked again carefully at that new black mark.]

[Ven watches this with a little puzzlement, looking at the marking again]

Yeah, I think that one's new.

[Hopping over then onto her trainer and rubbing her face against Vanitas' fingers, she's attempting to lift his hand enough to show some ink on his fingertips.

Too bad he's such a light sleeper, because Vanitas is starting slightly and sitting up sharp, before blinking blearily at the bird half in his lap.]

[For his part, Ven's quiet. Having Vanitas actually act worried about him to any extent leaves him unsure how to respond. Back home he wouldn't have even believed it]

[With Sanaa giving a gentle chirp and hopping up to rub her little face against his, he's idly turning his head and just giving something of a stare that Ventus is already awake. He's quiet, almost too quiet, but he soon simply leans back in his seat and reaches up to gingerly smooth his palm over the birds back.]

Go back to sleep, Ventus.

[His tone is quiet, but he's the one who looks like he might need to go back to sleep from the way his eyes are drooping again.]

[Quirking an eyebrow up at that, he lifts his hands to rub at his face a bit briskly.] I'm fine.

[That gets a sort of frown out of him.] I'm serious. I only have needed about four hours for all the time I've existed.

You say that like you've seen my face often enough. [Rolling his eyes, he's moving to stand and plant his hand on Ven's shoulder, pushing carefully to make him lay back down.]

[It sounds like a reaction rather than an actual insult, but the pushing stops with a sour expression. Moving his hand away and plopping back in his chair, he grumbles.]

I've been sleeping while you're sleeping, mostly. [It most definitely has been more than four hours.]
