[Good evening, Johto.

Yesss, the signal is familiar, but the deadpanned stare of a little blue face with big dark eyes might be a bit less. Tilting her head gently, the Pokemon simply stared down the screen, not budging and breathing so quietly, she resembles a statue more than a living thing.

It's actually a good ten minutes before there's footsteps outside of the room, and a rather good argument going on when the door finally opens and someone is stumbling through it. The Glaceon? Doesn't even blink, somehow ignoring the racket.]

Vanitas, come on, I was just getting a drink!

I don't care. You were going to slip out while I was busy. [Sounds of shoving return and Ventus' foot stumbles by the gear, giving a from-the-floor view of the edge of the bed and Ven's legs.]

It wasn't like that, I just... it doesn't feel right to just sit around.

Again, I don't care- [Hi from-the-floor view of Vanitas, who caused the screen to jitter a bit from his foot bumping it. He has at least looked down and is raising his eyebrow at that blinking light and his deadpan Pokemon, who has finally moved her head to look right back up at him. His expression remains the same, but his eyebrows shift places as he has a minor staring contest with the Glaceon, before rolling his eyes and crouching down.]

Don't make phone calls with my gear, use someone elses for that crap. [Click!]

[Staaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaare.

Oh! She blinked once!] She's always been like this, even just after hatching.

[Bolt wiggles his way out from under Ven's collar, emerging with a bounce of his ears and an enthusiastic pika!...at least until he sees this Glaceon.

And then he's staring back at her]

Just how she is then, huh?

Mm. [Reaching automatically at first, he hesitates with his hand over the Pokemon's head, having been about to pet her. Drawing his hand back, he simply sets it down again, Glaceon having not even batted an eye until the presence over her ears was gone; it was only then that she looked up and away from the tiny Pikachu and up at her trainer.

Yeah, does Vanitas look a little awkward at having been caught? He's turning his head away entirely from the little ice fox.]

Y'know, I think she wants you to pat her head.

Weirdo. [He's referring to the Pokemon, and she seems to know it from the way she stands up. It doesn't seem like she's taking 'no' for an answer either, since she now makes her way into his lap and hops up with her paws on his chest, nose to nose, and staaaaaaaaaaaares.

Making something of a face at the little weight in his lap, Vanitas awkwardly lifts a hand and leans his head back as far as he can before almost carefully setting his palm on Glaceon's head.]

[...Alright, he can't help a little snort]

[Turning his head and giving Ventus a sour look, Vanitas leans his head further away when he feels a wet nose push on his cheek.]

Stop that.

Can't help it, I've never seen you...awkward before.

[He would have said something but Glaceon was demanding attention in that there was a flick of a pink tongue working his cheek over. Making a funny awkward noise, he picks up the Pokemon and turns to drop her on the bed behind him.]

... The affection is weird. [He's honestly just plain not used to it in the first place; at least it's only two of his Pokemon that really... do this type of thing. Void does it as well to a much lesser, much less awkward degree, but the way Sanaa and Kit do it? Jeez.]

Just means they like you though.

[Glaceon actually gives a soft mew, as if to agree with Ven's words; Vanitas only turns his head away, his eyebrows together with an obscure expression slipping onto his face.]

[Ven hopes maybe someday Vanitas'll figure out that his mons are his friends...and maybe understand the value of having friends a little better. But he's not about to voice it.

Instead he takes a seat in a nearby chair]

So...what're we supposed to do?

[This house arrest is a bit boring Van]

[Snorting and crossing his arms, Vanitas turns a bit with a closed off look.] Why are you asking me?

You're the one who keeps pushing me back in here.

Do sit ups then. [Not like he'd do them, he'd just sit here and correct Ven's technique.]

...That sounds boring.

It's training.

I train in the mornings.

Train more.

There's not a lot I can do inside.

Hence sit ups. Jumping jacks, push-ups.

Boring.

Then you think of something to do that doesn't involve leaving the room.

Or maybe I could just leave the room.

Or you can use your head a little more and not.
