10 // (always accidental) video + audio

[The feed cracks on first to show a big, enormous, close up of a black nose and yellow fur. Leaning back enough to show his face, Minun is the one playing with the camera (like always), but it's not on long before a Sneasel steps into view near the little rodent. Booting the smaller Pokemon out of her way, she picks up the device with her long claws and regards the screen with an almost curious look, before making a sour face and ... biting the corner of the Gear. Gnawing on it, she's lightly batted from leaving more marks on it by a black gloved hand and a scolding "Knock it off, Void, I actually need that", before the trainer picks up the gear.

He looks different than usual, and if you guessed it was his hair? DING DING DING! It's not the crazy all over the place bedhead that keeps getting him called Sora; other than some mildly frizzy, very short patches of wispy 'wings' near his ears, the rest was slicked back (in a style resembling this yes that is Hidetoshi from Persona 3). The edges hung near the nape of his neck, he had no bangs... Is this really the same person?

Maybe the big, gold, mildly annoyed eyes can clue the viewers in once he spots the red recording light in the corner.

Runt, you turned it on? Ugh. [Flicking the video feed off, Vanitas spoke briefly, though there was also the sound of a Sudowoodo making a distressed WOODOOOO and seemingly scampering off, before footsteps are picking up quietly.]

Whoever is in Ecruteak, don't mess up the burned tower more. It's somewhat fixed, and I'm sure the locals will want it to stay that way. [Leaving out that he's fixing it, aw yeah. But he did 'mention' it to Morty, so the gym leader? Is all over that joint, wanting to keep it cleaned up; better for tourism and moreso, for the Pokes that live there. Yadda yadda, Vanitas didn't care for his reasons, he just wanted his 'base' to not be smashed when he came back.

So with that little bit said, CLICK! Shows over, folks.

It's a shame the folk here don't know much more about it. [His disappointment is obvious; he can't help but be curious about a creature like this.]

I'd like to know more, that's for sure. [And there is his main reasoning for rebuilding the tower.] I'm wondering if it would come back if the tower was repaired.
dragonspeak: (Arthur? Where are you going?)

But...doesn't this one live in the unburned tower?

video.

[identity profile] recrimination.livejournal.com 2011-05-13 02:26 am (UTC)(link)
I can see merit in that. Are you certain that the pokemon will only appear in that particular tower?

[Scoffing, a bit.] While I can certainly agree to the point of how emotion is capable of clouding even the soundest of judgments, I will also point out that lack of discipline decreases efficiency. Taunting and irritation is good when employed in a controlled manner -- after all, we cannot have the pokemon simply doing their own thing.

They both left at the same time, maybe they would come back at the same time.

video.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-13 11:03 pm (UTC)(link)
Since there were two of them and they both left when the one tower was destroyed, they may both come back.

[He can't help a snort and almost outright chuckles again.] I can't say I've ever been kept in a sort of mold like that, so I'm not exercising it. Using someones emotions and yanking heartstrings has always worked. [He's seen it with his own eyes.]

video.

[identity profile] recrimination.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 12:11 am (UTC)(link)
To my ears, it sounds as though you are grasping at straws. Where is your evidence, hm?

And perhaps it works -- however, I highly doubt that it as efficient as it could be. Wasted potential, in my opinion, is a veritable crime.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 02:48 am (UTC)(link)
I have as much as the rest of this world; myths alone. [He has to shrug here, looking a touch sour.]

If that is a crime, then add it to my list. [Saying that with a snort.] I'm sure I've done plenty of things that would be considered 'crimes'.

video.

[identity profile] recrimination.livejournal.com 2011-05-14 05:13 pm (UTC)(link)
Myths and superstitions -- claptrap, all of it. Forgive me if I do not find this convincing in the least.

[A look of consideration, cool.] Is that so? And you would proudly showcase such transgressions?

video.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-16 01:22 am (UTC)(link)
Which is why I'm testing it; if anything, it won't work at worst. At best... [Does he even really need to say?]

Why? Curious? [Vanitas doesn't seem the least bit ashamed of any sort at admitting he's done terrible things before.]
dragonspeak: (Er...Gaius?)

[personal profile] dragonspeak 2011-05-16 03:09 am (UTC)(link)
Both? [Merlin's confused, and the look he gives Vanitas then shows it.] There's two of them now?

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-16 04:29 am (UTC)(link)
The one from the unburned tower did the reviving. The one from the burned tower apparently fled during the fire. [Sorry bro, he kind of forgets that Merlin hasn't been digging out information from the locals of Ecruteak.]
dragonspeak: (Was that actually a compliment?)

[personal profile] dragonspeak 2011-05-16 03:49 pm (UTC)(link)
Oh. [He blinks] That's...some story. Looks like you've really been asking around about this, haven't you.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-17 05:38 am (UTC)(link)
[He simply nods.]
dragonspeak: (The brighter side of the coin--obviously)

[personal profile] dragonspeak 2011-05-18 05:21 am (UTC)(link)
[Small smile.] I'll...have to look at these towers myself if I'm ever in Ecruteak. Are you planning to stay there much longer?

video.

[identity profile] recrimination.livejournal.com 2011-05-18 04:33 pm (UTC)(link)
Humph. A gambit, or so it seems. I suppose this is your prerogative, and therefore, if it fails, then it is your own failure.

And not in the least -- what you have done is none of my concern. It is simply your attitude towards those transgressions that is 'curious'.

video.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 03:45 am (UTC)(link)
It's not so much failure as trial and error.

You wonder why it doesn't bother me at all.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-19 03:47 am (UTC)(link)
The Bell Tower is blocked off for some reason; the monks keep it surprisingly well guarded, so you won't be able to get far in investigating that one. [He shakes his head though.]

I'll make a circle back after I've collected the badges from Violet and Azalea.
dragonspeak: (I'm just Merlin--always have been)

[personal profile] dragonspeak 2011-05-21 07:59 pm (UTC)(link)
Huh. There must be something in there they're keeping safe.

If you're going through Azalea, that means you'll have to pass through Goldenrod at some point. You should stop by again.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-23 02:33 am (UTC)(link)
Mm, probably expensive decorations, since I don't think anything is at the top right now.

... I'll think about it. [There's a hint of curiosity in his tone, almost wondering why Merlin still puts the effort in.]
dragonspeak: (The brighter side of the coin--obviously)

[personal profile] dragonspeak 2011-05-23 03:53 pm (UTC)(link)
Great! I'll see you around when you're here. [Thoughtful pause.] I really should leave Goldenrod and see the rest of Johto. Sometime later, I suppose.

[identity profile] subvertio.livejournal.com 2011-05-24 07:15 pm (UTC)(link)
... Yeah, you should. This world is larger than others I've been to.
