[While the video opens up with Minun's face being pressed up against the feed, the little Pokemon gives a hushed chitter, a somewhat worried look on his face. Pulling the Gear along the ground for a few moments, Minun props it up against a rock, pointing the feed across the basement where Vanitas could be seen.

It's a little hard to make out from waaaaaaaaaaay over here, but it looks like partial bath time? He's got his head dipped into an old bucket, scrubbing furiously at his hair for a few minutes longer before sitting up and flipping the wet spikes back.

Where they promptly start to fluff up again, despite being soaked.

On reaching up and discovering this, he lets out an incredibly irritated sound. Vanitas then reaches and digs into his bag nearby, sourly muttering something akin to 'enough of this', and draws out the little survival knife he picked up on his last pickpocketing adventure.

Grabbing a large hunk of spike, he hacks it off effortlessly, and promptly reaches for another.

Someone tell him it's a bad idea to cut his own hair.]

It only looks frilly due to the light part of a heart it's made from. A light and dark heart merging creates it. [Scuffing his foot over the drawing then, Vanitas shrugged on screen... but he looks fairly disappointed, a sour sort of frown on his face.]

_{[Heather is in fact positive she's seen that very design scribbled on the back of middleschool-classmates' notebooks before. Sry Vanitas it looks even sillier NOW.]}

It's pretty legit.

The X-Blade is made of metal underneath how it's produced. But being made from such opposite hearts gives it quite a lot of power. [Keeping the video from showing his now irritable expression, instead it's just showing a Minun playing in the dirt.]

It's quite 'legit' as you would say, as I had it once.

Not a fan of weapons with magical powers.

I like knowing that the reason a sword kills things is because it's sharp and I'm physically swinging it at something.

[He was quiet on his end for a moment, Minun looking up at the screen and waving ecstatically with both little arms... until Vanitas just started laughing. It wasn't even a creepy laugh, he was genuinely amused. Bringing the PokeGear back up, he had a rather honest smile on his face.]

I don't think I've ever heard someone say that before. It's not common where I'm from. [Where everything is about being kind to one another, and smiles make ugly ships move and that nonsense that he never embraced.]

_{[Let it now be known that Heather is magical and even makes villains laugh.]}

Well, let's just say where I come from I'm very grateful for the love and care that went into sticking a nice simple sharp piece of metal into a hilt so that I can make stuff die with it.

_{[... She's not going to give her last name. Normally she doesn't really care-- her initial worries about cult members being behind all this are long gone, she doesn't really have a reason to conceal that-- but she remembers what Vanitas did the first time he was here.]

[This one was obviously different-- more mellow, maybe. A little less creepy. But you don't just 'forget' when a person beats up the collective population of a whole neighborhood.]}

[He simply gives a nod then.] So this must be quite a change of pace, if you're used to killing things. [You know how people say laughter is a form of medicine? That dose right there got him in a civil enough mood for idle chatter; plus, he's curious.]

HEH. Understatement of the millennium. Not used to relying on animals to do my work for me. _{[She wasn't a fan of not being able to carry a weapon around, either-- even before Silent Hill had ever re-invaded her life, she had carried a switchblade on her almost everywhere... even school (secretly, of course). She'd never even had to USE it-- she just... liked it.]

[As for laughter being the best medicine, Heather's been a subscriber to that philosophy for years.]}

Understandable. Mine set up scenarios for me to train in mostly. [And he's used to being able to create monsters out of his negative emotions; they're a form of self defense, even with his keyblade.]

Who, your Pokemon?

_{[Heather's just used to beating the living shit out of her enemies until they stop moving. And crushing their heads under her feet for good measure to make sure they never move again.]}

Mm. I spar with Charizard while Murkrow creates a wind hazard. It keeps Dart in line because he gets to fight, and it keeps me in shape. [Yes Heather, he hand to hand combats his Charizard. On a regular basis.]

_{[... Well, that's a new one. Heather just occasionally tried to beat up Liquid.]}

... Huh.

All my Pokemon so far are the four-legged variety and the police here seem to take issue when I smack them around with blunt objects, so...

Hand to hand keeps them watching from the bushes. It's the reason I only fight Dartanian. [Cause really, they're kind of too busy going wat that he's fighting a Charizard. They'd kind of be more in the way if he was fighting, say, Swablu.]
