[It's a shame the video is only clattering on now, since the reaction to something cracking in his bag was pretty darn funny. There were some snow smears on the PokeGear from where it was laying on the ground, but something much more interesting was caught on camera.

Something with little flashes of yellow and blue was running around, climbing all over Vanitas, and he was doing quite a hilarious looking dance of sorts in trying to catch the creature. He is clearly not fast enough, and the little blur eventually stops by -- hanging onto the back of his head.

Making an angry, irritable sound, he actually lets his arms hang down in defeat ~~?!?!?!?!~~, snapping his attention to the laughing-crowing bird in the sky somewhere above the PokeGear.]

Shut up!

[Don't you love those cute blue ears Vanitas is now sporting? They twitched, and when his head turned, there is clearly a Minun hanging onto the back of that helmet, looking all mischevious and happy. How cute, Vanitas made a friend.]

The laughing is what catches his attention and makes him almost physically fume, stomping ~~like a three year old~~ to the PokeGear and snatching it up with an absolute hiss in his voice.]

[ Rise's just so lucky, getting Vanitas hissing like an angry teakettle twice now. This... doesn't really stop her from being amused, either. ]

D-did that work on your bird? Since it looks like your newest doesn't feel like listening.

I don't care; I won't be sticking around this dump long enough. [Minun says HELLO while waving past that helmet, a rather happy joyous expression on his face. Vanitas is promptly ignoring the creature now since he couldn't throw him off.]

[If you could see his face, Rise, it just made such a disgusted look.]

[ she's pretty sure she knows EXACTLY what sort of face he's making, and she doesn't quite care. ]

Funny, I would've thought you'd get something not as... happy. [ but she's beaming at it anyway. ]

You say that like I chose it. [Minun hopped happily and went scampering down his trainers arm, perched on his wrist precariously and chittering happily at the screen.

Little rodent better watch out, Vanitas is lifting his other hand slowly as if he's about to swat a fly.]

[ ... she says this the instant she sees his wrist twitch. Support habits die hard. ]

[Minun squeaks and goes running back up his arm, causing Vanitas to slap his own wrist before snarling and making a quick grab at it again, throwing the PokeGear down into the snow again.

Yeah, he has bad luck since that Pokemon is clinging to the back of his helmet again, cheeks buzzing with a little static.] Little runt, you know what will happen to you if you shock me again! [His tone says bad things would happen.]

[ this would be hilarious if she wasn't genuinely concerned for the little thing's safety. Rise's going to be calling out directions from the... ground (from what she can see) if he starts getting violent. ]

[Aw, Rise, you don't have to worry about the ~~hareraiser~~ Minun, because once Vanitas gets a hand on it again, the little tyke lets out quite a charge of electricity 8D oh discharge, what a beautiful way to keep him from throwing you.

Letting out a yell, he snatched his hands back with a snarl.]

... [ wryly ] You might want to stop threatening him, unless you like getting zapped.

If he would stop climbing on me, I wouldn't care as much! [Aw, what cute blue ears he has again.]

[ there's a moment of silence, and then Rise sighs-- and manages not to giggle this time. ]

Let me try talking to him. [ hey, it worked with Leon's Skarmory. ]

Why. [Those ears twitch, pointing forward.]

Because you're gonna figure out pretty fast that trying to hit him won't work. [ as much as he would deserve it. ] Unless you want to keep getting shocked.

[Making a sour noise, he holds up the PokeGear then to the little critter climbing to the top of his head.]

[ and instantly Rise's chipper and friendly to ADORABLE THING. ] Hey, there! Mind listening to me for a minute?

[Minun pricks his ears up and peeeeeks over the helmet, indicating he's listening.]

[ s-so cute. ]

I know being up there is fun and everything, but it makes your trainer really [ pissy ] mad. And he'll keep trying to hurt you, which totally isn't fun at all. Do you think you could stay off of him for a little bit? I bet there'll be other people you can perch on soon enough.

[And with such a jerky trainer, huh?]

["But moooooom!" was the tone, and the Pokemon outright gave her a pouty face, climbing up to sit on top of the helmet to communicate all of this. ~~aka he's really doing this to piss his trainer off on purpose. naughty nature and all 8D~~]

[ Totally unfair, man. ]

No "buts"! [ and she doesn't even speak Pokémon, what is this. ALSO WHY AM I THE MOM. ] Sooner or later, he's going to get better at catching you, and it won't be anywhere close to fun for you!

Minun increases that pout expression by >9000, but in the end gives a noise that seems like a 'fiiine'. Vanitas is being surprisingly patient about this entire thing, though his face beneath the visor is seriously irritated.]
