Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Sure! Probably a fairly regular mix of both.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Plain old grumpiness is probably the most likely. She's got low-key darkness, the kind you'd expect from anybody having a bad day or getting annoyed easily.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: If he wants to! I can't imagine they'd be big/strong.
Aggressive behavior (physical fighting, not sparring!) with this character: Warn me first. Dialo's not a fighter so she'll probably run.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Oh yes. Definitely more darkness than light, though there's light in there.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Despair and depression mostly. There's also some fear and anxiety in there mixed in.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Sure! I don't actually know when this would come up but it sounds fun!
Aggressive behavior (physical fighting, not sparring!) with this character: Warn me first, again. She'd probably either stab back or run the hell away.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Liiiiiight. He's canon light alignment and really really protagonist.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: N/A for the most part!

If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: There's definitely a little despair, jealousy at times, grumpiness, and self-hatred in there.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: If you want to, sure!

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Sure!
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Most negativity stems from being pointedly self-critical where he finds himself lacking. He tends to believe that as long as he works hard enough, he can achieve what he needs to and not let others down. When he doesn't do what he believes he should've or falls short, he's very hard on himself. Also might get some blips if anybody's competing with him and uses underhanded tactics because he frowns upon this nonsense. Hurt his comrades and he'll get pretty ticked - heck, hurt or sacrifice others in general and Robin won't be keen on you.

Also he was, you know, slated to be the vessel for the Fell Dragon. Kinda almost got bodyjacked, so that's probably there too.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Of course.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Well. He is the light, and Vanitas is his darkness, so...
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Despite being Mr. Lightheart, Ventus does have a capacity for brooding over mistakes or the plights of friends. Likewise there's distress if people get hurt, or if he just can't help them. He can be a bit competitive but generally that's all in good fun. And everybody's favorite, he will get pretty ticked off if somebody goes around hurting people - particularly friends - on purpose.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Yes. Probably good amount of both since Merciless's abnormally positive for someone who thinks so much about death and violence as she does.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Bloodlust, generally violent thoughts, confusion and uncertainty due to the huge differences from her world, a small repressed core of loneliness.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Yup.

Special note/query: Does Vanitas have a strong emptiness/void element? This is an important question because Merciless tends to be hostile to that kind of thing.

What would qualify as an emptiness/void element? I wouldn't say Vanitas has any emptiness since he is over-emotional (which turns into the Unversed), but I don't know the definition entirely you're looking for.

Actually, that pretty much answers my question (no emptiness/void in other words). I asked because I have limited familiarity with the canon and I've encountered in another game a KH character with a strong void affinity, but seems like he's a different thing entirely.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Yep. He's a mix of both, but with a little more light.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Irritability, mood swings, bitterness/resentment (mostly at his spirit magnet abilities), low self-esteem, a bit of self-depreciation, some anger, a bit of depression, and a whole load of anxiety and loneliness.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Sure!

Injuring this character (include limits and severity please!): I draw the line at maiming and things that wont heal, but others are okay.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: He is mostly light! There's a little bit of darkness, but on the whole he's a pretty optimistic person.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: And sort of darkness comes from his own self doubts and feelings of inadequacy. Even so, those sorts of thoughts rarely come up unprovoked, so that bit of darkness probably isn't very obvious.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Yeah if you want! :v

Injuring this character (include limits and severity please!): Run it by me first is all I really ask for? I've got no problems roughing him up, though probably stopping short of anything majorly traumatic/permanent is best.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Probably a pretty typical mix of both, maybe a tiny bit heavier on the darkness scale?
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Anxiety, depression, zero sense of self worth, self-deprecation, that sort of jazz. He's a champ at internalizing his problems but most of the time it's not really an overwhelming thing, so I'd expect that any darkness from him wouldn't really be too out of the ordinary for a normal person. :|a

Aggressive behavior (physical fighting, not sparring!) with this character: She's all about peaceful resolution and not really a fighter, but go ahead! Chances are high that she'll just escape if it's too much for her.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity please!): This one I'd really prefer to keep any injuries to a minimum, just things that will heal quickly.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: He's probably 90% light, I think.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: He sometimes broods over his inability to help people, but this is very rare.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Sure!
Aggressive behavior (physical fighting, not sparring!) with this character: Ask beforehand! I'd like to plan it out.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Sure! In engaging scenarios there's generally a lot more positivity than negativity in her, but under the surface there are gnawing issues that some situations or discussions can bring up pretty easily.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: Clingy, anxious, and wistfully melancholic about herself and her "parents"' future regarding Koriko; denial of earlier-mentioned emotions; fear (in the knowledge-by-acquaintance sort of way, blissfully naive otherwise); pensively confused and unsure over others and even herself at times. ("Why do we make everything so complicated?")
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Sure!
Aggressive behavior (physical fighting, not sparring!) with this character: Sure! She may or may not be learning how to wield a wooden sword (thanks Papa!), but without most of her abilities from ALO, Yui would rather flee than fight if matters get that serious (or at least talk it out first)... unless of course others are in danger, like Mama & Papa (Asuna / "Aki" & Kirito / "Jin") and those she met over time in Koriko that she considers friends.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity please!): Please check in with me OOCly or in-thread if this is alright first! If she wants to stop something between others though, I'll generally take whatever she has coming to her, but I'd prefer her to not take permanent injuries if possible.

Can he sense light and/or darkness in this character?: Yep! He's actually more light than dark. Probably 85%-90% light I would imagine.
If yes to the above, what type of darkness?: He's fearful a lot of the time, not to mention doubts himself a whole lot-- I mean really, he thinks he's useless. And without his friends to buck him up in the game, he's going to be pretty damn sad and lonely too.
Would he be allowed to make Unversed out of their darkness?: Sure!
Aggressive behavior (physical fighting, not sparring!) with this character: Yep, sure, but he'll try to come to a peaceful resolution and talk it out. But if triggered properly, he'll give as good as he gets.
Injuring this character (include limits and severity please!): No maiming or permanent injuries please, but otherwise, sure.
